"The student body overall is nice and welcoming especially if you are a new student. When I first arrived at Cross Creek I was afraid that no one would like me or I would be ignored because that had been my experience at other schools. Cross Creek was different, the teachers, students and staff all made me feel welcome and included. Now that I have been there for several years and have seen other new kids come in, I have seen the same treatment of them as I experienced myself. Because of this, I make a special effort to welcome them the same way I was welcomed."

"I love the teachers at Cross Creek. They are so much better because they seem to care about me personally. When I compare myself from before coming to Cross Creek to now, I am so much better at Math, Reading and almost all the other subjects as well as confident in myself. I have so many friends here! I never looked forward to going to school, but now I can’t wait to go because I enjoy it so much. I love it here because when a new student comes, there is someone ready to make friends with them and take them under their wing. Because that was my experience starting in the middle of the school year, it has taught me how I want to treat others who are new. "I have thoroughly enjoyed my years at Cross Creek Charter Academy! I would have to say that my favorite grade at Cross Creek was seventh grade, with Mrs. Baker and Ms Woodson. I connected so well with all my teachers in the past, but especially them. I can not wait to start eighth grade. At the end of the year however, it will be so sad! I have made so many friends and I had lots of fun with my friends at our "Character Camp!"

"One thing I like about Cross Creek are all the students there. People are open and friendly if you go up and say "Hi!" to them. I've had so many good memories at Cross Creek I don't think I could remember them all. One particular thing I remember is Field Day. Everyone in the school participates in games and you earn points for them. Whichever class in the grade has the most points wins the blue ribbon. All of the games are fun –the high jump, long jump, 100-meter dash. Field Day is definitely the most fun of the whole year!"
