Parent Testimonials
"We investigated three options: our local public school, a private school and Cross Creek Charter Academy. From the minute we made contact with the school, we felt welcomed. I believe too many schools have lost their focus, forgetting that parents do have a choice. The teachers and staff at Cross Creek know they are competing for student's minds, and to succeed, they have to deliver a high quality education. They understand the parents and students are the customer. If the quality of the education and character qualities aren't the best, parents and students will go elsewhere. We have been very pleased that what was promised, has been delivered. We are pleased by the student/teacher ratio and the level of parent involvement. There are parent volunteers in the building all the time. From WatchDOGS Dad to the PTO, parents and grandparents are participating in delivering the high quality educational environment found at Cross Creek."

"The year we began at Cross Creek, my son was entering the first grade. This was his first real experience with school since he attended a church-sponsored pre-school and kindergarten program. So, of course, mom was a little apprehensive. It just so happened that Deb Sammons, the Assistant Principal, also had a first grader. She suggested we get the boys together before school started so they'd both know someone the first day of school. We met at a park and the boys played together as we got to know each other. I was so impressed that the principal of our new school would take the time to get to know us that my fears subsided. Wow, if she did this for a new kid, this school obviously had the heart we were looking for.
This kind of commitment has been demonstrated again and again throughout our years at Cross Creek. My son is now an eighth grader and I know this school has prepared him not only for high school, but also for a meaningful, character filled life."

"We first came to Cross Creek as anxious first time parents who were seeking the best education and environment for our son. We were invited to take a tour of the school with our son who was 4 at the time. From the moment we stepped in the school until the time we left we felt very welcome and had all of our questions addressed. Both my husband & I knew immediately that Cross Creek was going to be the school for our child.
Our son is now entering second grade and we have another child who will be starting at Cross Creek this Fall. I appreciate the high standards of learning and the safety measures that Cross Creek has set in place for the school. What I really have appreciated about Cross Creek is the way that the administration and teachers work along side of parents and welcome us into the school at anytime to be a part of our children's education."

"A few years ago, my son, Jonathan, was enrolled in a local public school system for his “third grade” academic year. At that time, my wife was employed at the NHA corporate office. During her employment there, she was able to see “behind the scenes” how efficiently and effectively the schools were structured and operated. From the financial, ethics, and student “self-esteem building” perspectives, we were very impressed. Therefore, we decided to enroll our younger daughter, Aurora, into the NHA system at Cross Creek Charter Academy for her Kindergarten academic year.
During Jonathan’s enrollment in the local public school system, he was having difficulty in Reading and Comprehension. His other grades were just “OK”. His local school teacher and principal pointed their fingers at us, the parents, that it was our problem. After we continued to work with Jonathan and hiring a tutor, he still continued to struggle. His self-esteem was low causing his other grades to slip below what we knew to be his full potential. Towards the end of that school year, Aurora (in Kindergarten at NHA) picked up some of Jonathan’s Third Grade reading material and began reading it without any difficulties. How could a Kindergartener at NHA read Third Grade level reading material from a local public school? After investigating how she could do this, it was determined that the methods and care given to Aurora from her NHA teachers and volunteers made this possible. At the beginning of the next scholastic year, both Aurora and Jonathan were enrolled in Cross Creek.
As of today, Jonathan’s reading deficiency has been eliminated. There have been significant improvements in both of their grades and self-esteem since enrolling in Cross Creek. Both Jonathan and Aurora enjoy the teachers, the environment, and friendships made by attending Cross Creek Academy. When asked if they would want to attend another school, they both responded with a confident “NO!”
To the teachers, volunteers, and Administration of Cross Creek Academy, “Thank you” for creating a such a solid learning environment for my children and others in the area."
