“What I love about Cross Creek Academy is the fact that they allow us to participate in our children's education. I like the fact that I can monitor my children's progress at home and in person. If I have a concern or question, I am one click away to getting a response or I can just drop in and get an answer. This is the opposite of what I had experienced prior to my children going to Cross Creek.
To give you a perfect example, at the old school, I would make it a point to check in every week to check on my son's progress, only to get the answer that he was doing fine and they would check to see if there were any missing assignments. This would happen every week. Since they never had the answer, I offered to volunteer at the school, because it appeared that the teacher was overwhelmed (at least that's the way I felt, since I could never get an answer to my questions about my child). Needless to say, the teacher said they would let me know about that too. “

"The year we began at Cross Creek, my son was entering the first grade. This was his first real experience with school since he attended a church-sponsored pre-school and kindergarten program. So, of course, mom was a little apprehensive.
It just so happened that Deb Sammons, the Assistant Principal, also had a first grader. She suggested we get the boys together before school started so they'd both know someone the first day of school. We met at a park and the boys played together as we got to know each other. I was so impressed that the principal of our new school would take the time to get to know us that my fears subsided. Wow, if she did this for a new kid, this school obviously had the heart we were looking for.
This kind of commitment has been demonstrated again and again throughout our years at Cross Creek. My son is now an eighth grader and I know this school has prepared him not only for high school, but also for a meaningful, character filled life."
